The Fast and The Furious - Tokyo Drift[2006]

The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (also known as Wild Speed X3: Tokyo Drift (ワイルドスピードX3 TOKYO DRIFT) in Japan) is a 2006 film directed by Justin Lin and the third installment (chronologically, the fourth) of The Fast and the Furious Series. The film features an all-new cast and a different setting (Tokyo,Iapan) from the previous two films. The movie was shot in Tokyo and parts of Los Angeles, the latter often covered with props and lights to create the illusion of the Tokyo style. While Paul Walker is not in the film, Vin Diesel reprises his role as Dominic Toretto in a cameo appearance.

Apocalypto[2006]

Apocalypto is a 2006 American film directed by Mel Gibsom. Set in Yucatan, Mexico, during the declining period of the Mayan civilization, Apocalypto depicts the journey of a Mesoamerican tribesman who must escape human sacrifice and rescue his family after the capture and destruction of his village.
The film, similar to Cornel Wilde's 1966 The Naked Prey features a cast of Indigenous Mexicans and some Native Americans, and its Yucatec Maya dialogue is accompanied by subtitles.

Champions [2008]

With the coming of the 2008 Beifjing Olympics, a slew of related sports related films were always inevitable. One of the first major productions now hitting DVD is “Champions”, from director Tsui Siu Ming, who recently produced the likes of “The Equation of Love and Death “ and “Battle of Wits”. The film marks the return to the screen of popular actor and singer Dicky Cheung, who stars in a patriotic tale (very) loosely based upon the real life exploits of the first Chinese Olympic participation.
The film is set back in 1936, with Cheung playing a martial artist called Fung, who along with his friend Shue Po (former child star Xie Miao, also in “My Father is a Hero”) dreams of taking part in the coming Olympic Games. Although the government offers to provide some sponsorship, the athletes find themselves needing to raise a considerable amount of money in order to travel to the prestigious event. Unfortunately they find their efforts hampered by troubles with a rival martial arts school, whose leader challenges them to an elimination battle to decide who should represent the nation. Local triads further complicate matters, as does a nasty, possibly life threatening injury to Fung’s beloved bride to be, long distance runner Ngan Ling (Patricia Wong)....

The A-Team is a 2010 American action film based on the television series of the same name. It was released in cinemas in the United States on June 11, 2010 by 20th Century Fox. The film was directed by Joe Carnahan and produced by Stephen J.Cannell, and brothers Ridley and Tony Scott. The film has been in development since the mid 1990s, having gone through a number of writers and story ideas, and being put on hold a number of times. Producer Stephen J.Cannell wished to update the setting, perhaps using the first Fuft War as part of the backstory.
The film received mixed reviews from critics, and performed slightly below expectations at the box office. The reception from the cast of the original series, the A-team, too, was mixed.

Salt [2010]

Salt is a 2010 American spy action thriller film directed by Phillip Noyce, written by Kurt Wimmer and Brian Hegeland, and starring Angelina Jolie, Liev Schreiber, Daniel Olbrychski, August Diehl and Chiwetel Ejiofor. Jolie plays Evelyn Salt, who is accused of being a KGB sleeper agent, and goes on the run to try to clear her name. While Tom Cruise was initially secured for the lead, the script was ultimately rewritten for Jolie.
Filming took place on a location in Washington, D.C, New York City, and Albany, New York between March and June 2009. The film had a panel at the San Diego Comic-Con on July 22 and was released in North America on July 23, 2010 and August 18, 2010, in the United Kingdom.
